Hi 8 pack

Mate what a great idea giving you your own corner :-)

Anyways whats the chances of doing a bit of an overclocking guide for getting the best out of Sandybridge Extreme at different settings maybe from 4.5ghz up to 5ghz+.
There are loads of people on the forums who have this setup and even the best overclockers will no doubt be checking there settings against a guide made by yourself ;)

Congrats on the new job 8 pack have you used the x79 ud5 at all I'm having some problems overclocking my 3930k past 4.5 I know it's it the best for overclocking but what would you recommend ?

Its a totally different world you live in isnt it? One where 5g+ is a 10 min job and we all stand around watching in shock and amazement

That was actually how it happened. I said oh I am clocking the CPU for this testing ie no way is it stock. Gibbo was like try get 5.0 if you can. In less than 10 mins I had 5.1 stable with high and tight RAM cas 9 around 2450+.

Even Gibbo was in shock!!!!!!! when I ran Vantage and 3D 11 CPU straight up looping!!

8 Pack you said sometime ago you had some Dominator platinums you were trying

How far have you managed to push them.

I have two kits the same as yours I am profiling for a customer who is using 32gb. Have not tried 16gb alone. I then have one 1866mhz Kit which does 2450+ on SB-E. I also have two 2800 kits I played with for a very short period yesterday that do 2500+ 9-12-11-28 1T on SB-E. On Ivy these last kits will fly.
