Calling all OcUK video encoders...
Having had success with my HTPC/NAS for a while now, I want to stick a few DVDs on there for ease of access too. Can people please recommend the best codecs and settings to achieve the following?
1) No noticeable quality loss
2) Keep subtitles that should be shown (i.e. for foreign language scenes)
3) File size is largely irrelevant within reason
Historically I've always found anything that includes subtitles is an absolute pain, so is this still the awkward point?
I'm probably going to stick XBMC onto the HTPC, it's just running regular explorer.exe at the moment.
