I have 4Gb of OCZ PC2-8000 (2x2Gb) in a P35-DS4 running a Q6600 at 3Ghz (9x33) under Vista 32 bit.
The ram is rated at 1000, but shows as 800 in bios (why?)
It is currently at stock voltage (1.8) with timings of 5-5-5-15 on a ratio of 2:3. Seems OK, though I would have expected better performance than I am currently getting. Can anyone recommend some better settings? I'd like to run this ram at 1:1 if possible; can this be done without underclocking?
Will I see much of a difference if I switch to Vista 64 bit? (I have the DVD; just haven't got around to installing it yet).
Thanks.
