Personally I like a quiet system, so while still keeping it aircooled I went for the Noctua fans, they cost a bit but they are excellent value for money.
I also fitted the insides of the case, nearly every surface it fit on, with sound absorbing mat but didn't really notice any difference in resonance noise or any other noise as the system was already silent because of the SSD.
Using those in a normal Antec case, with only an exhaust fan in the back, with a MSI TwinF III 6950, the temps inside the case never go above 65 even on warm days. It's under the table and when idle or not using anything 3D accelerated I can't hear it's on, I have to check the light in the front in the morning if I've left it on "Shutdown when downloads complete" to see if it's still on. Under heavy load, running a game it goes up to an audible level but still nothing close to for example a stock 4890 or normal nvidia GTX cards.
