best silent nvidea card

Dont really play games that much got a asus card at mo but need one thats almost silent (keeps me awake at night)

Just HDMI out will suffice

How much are you looking to spend?

There is an Nvidia 440 for under £70, which is silent

If you are willing to try the red team, there are a few HD 6770 cards with passive coolers from ASUS and Gigabyte (see here). These costs ~£100 but give you pretty decent performance and zero noise (for performance reviews just look for the HD 5770 as they are basically the same card).

The passively cooled HD 6670 like this would also be a good choice, as it is a fair bit cheaper (but also performs a fair bit worse than a HD 5770/6770).

This review compares the performance of the GT 440, the HD 6670 and HD 5770. The 6670 is ~40% faster than the GT 440, while the HD 5770/6770 is ~100% faster than the GT 440.

Try to find a fanless low-end card, then you have your quietness guaranteed.

the card mystic sniper linked is the kind of thing you are looking for as it uses passive cooling (no fans at all so literally zero noise)
but tbh most cards on idle are barely audible. Are you sure the noise from your pc isnt from cpu cooler?

I find the power supply to be the noisiest thing in a lot of PCs these days or on some motherboards the chipset fans as they tend to be small and try to move a lot of air by rotating very fast.

yes been down that route changed all other fans to silent and swapping things over to see what difference that makes just a brand new asus card left to change.
forgot to mention all i really do is watch HD 1080 films on my samsung 3D tv.

Btw this card has better graphics than my xbox
