Hi there

I know nothing about sat nav and just need one that does the job nothing special for around £75. I was told Garmin C510 is ok, good advice or any other suggestions?

Thanks

Michael

Personally I'd pay the extra £25 or so and get a TomTom ONE. Much better than any other sat nav system I've personally encountered.

Pay the slight extra (or look on auction sites) and get a TomTom.

Easiest to use and once you've got used to them they are a doddle to put things like Safety Cameras, etc. on.

I've never used a sat nav system as easy to work with as Tom Tom.

I have a One XL, you might like the Garmin - I absolutely hated it.

I got a binatone carerra. Cost me £80 although you can get them a bit cheaper now.

No frills, but does the job perfectly well with full postcode search, 3d mapping, clear directions, fast satellite aquisition. I couldn't justify spending another £50 to get a tomtom.

Iv'e recently been looking at the navman range, I'm thinking of getting the navman s70 or s90. Some of the cheeper navman's seem good too.

In this price range, if you are buying new, the Times had an article a few weeks ago:

Navman S30 looks a good deal and easier inputs than a TomTom. I personally use a TomTom and love it, but not at this price.

Garmin Nuvi 200w is a good satnav for £100, 4.3" widescreen with detailed mapping and various features with built in 512MB memory (not even half used @ stock and can be expanded with SD) and recent camera database built in.

Looks very smart and is very slim too!

I'm upgrading mine to a TomTom though because I want the Tom Tom movie player for when I'm stuck in traffic I can watch some tv shows :p

Wouldn't touch Navman as they're horrible to use in comparrison to the TomTom. Go to Halfords or some other motoring shop and trial a few out and see which one is best for you.
