Hello,

Does anyone have experience with basic home security systems? I live in an apartment and just want to be monitoring/protecting a single door (my main front door), so only 1 camera is required.

My other requirements are as follows:

- The device triggers an alarm when/if the door is opened (can be turned off from my phone)
- It texts an alert to my phone notifying me the alarm has been triggered
- It starts recording video and uploads said video online automatically when alarm is triggered
- Good quality videos (camera)

I don't mind if the system isn't wireless because I'm only going to be using this when I go on holiday, but I guess for ease of use and security it's good to have wireless. Someone just being able to quickly pull out the power isn't ideal.

So far I've been looking at Blink XT and Cocoon HD. Blink XT seems to have everything I would want, but I read that some people get poor quality video and also there's a big delay between the sensors being triggered and it starting to record. Also heard it gets a lot of false positives.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Just got a yi outdoor cam, not using associated cloud but sd card. Was 50quid quite impressed with it seems to pick up want I need. Does however get triggered by the by heavy tain on default setting
