It's miles better than Oblivion IMO. More linear but done much better on the whole.

Other way round

Oblivion was great ,witcher is not bad but getting bored of it, have stopped playing ,your restricted to where you can walk you can't jump so if you come to a 6 inch obstruction you have to go around it Also you can not play in first person view and can not use your weapons when you want /have restricted fighting control its not bad but could have been a lot better !

That's what I said, The Witcher is more linear but I felt it's done better.

I'm even back playing Oblivion now and I still feel The Witcher is much more immersive.

I was late to the FEAR party but I really enjoyed the original and the expansion. Not played Perseus yet but I think the claims of how it has dated graphics wise don't seem to cause me too much concern

As for Deus Ex.... still timeless days later

I still can't get into Deus Ex. It's highly annoying considering how much I love SS2 and how much I *should* love DE :/

I struggled through the first level - Liberty, but once I'd left that zone I was completely hooked. Took me 2 years to get past that part then less than 4 days to finish the game. I remember moving house and my friend convincing me to re-install it and 'stick with it'. Still me fave many years later.

Orange Box (Best value for money and really great games)
The Witcher (Great all round game and best RPG I've played in a long while, brilliant story...)
Bioshock (Really atmospheric game and while it does go mad near the end it's still brilliant and great fun)
Supreme Commander (RTS, maybe a bit on the easy side but still good to play)
Company of Heroes (Another RTS set during World War II, fast paced battles and good fun)
Call of Duty 4 (Too short by far but a good game none the less)

Half-life 2 plus the 2 add-ons. for sure.

Company of Heroes = amazing get the gold pack with the addon for £15.

CoD4 was good, but just another fps at the end of the day.

Forged Alliance (Supreme Commander follow-up). You can spend loads of time in SP and then loads more on MP.

Thought Crysis was fantastic too on SP. Partly the action, partly the sheer atmosphere of the game.

COD4 was also good, too short though.
