Best small midi tower?

Yeah I like that.

I suppose cases are all much the same now really, only real difference is the fans, build quality and noise dampening (if any)?

I like the meshify case a lot!

Really want to get something that is a good bit smaller than my current antec case and would still be able to fit in my pulse vega 56.

Going to hold of on a case for now as I first need to lower the amount of hard drives I have, currently I've got:

2 x SSDs
3 x 3.5" mech drives

So this makes it a bit of a nightmare for wiring etc. Going to get a 2TB m.2 drive, when they drop in price more, which will mean that I could drop at least 2 hard drives and maybe get a a larger 8/10TB mech drive so that I could drop the rest.

i don't think you can call any of the cases (with the exception of the coolermaster q500L) a small midi case lol.
some of them are larger than your current p100 :p

if you want a premium small ATX case, have a look at the jonsbo umx4: http://www.jonsbo.eu/en/atx/umx4/149/umx4-black-window-rgb?c=49
though granted you'd have to trim down your 3.5" drives as it can only hold 2.

As long as it is a bit smaller on the whole, I'll be happy :p

I was also looking at that coolermaster case too, really like the look of it but iirc, thermals aren't great?

Not heard of that jonsbo case but will look at some reviews as also like the look of it.

Nope, have not had a chance to at all, I swear WFH is worse, just seem to be glued to the laptop more than when I was in the office ffs! :D

Still very unsure with what to go for, I am probably leaning towards the FD meshify though.

I'll be sticking with air cooler for the time being (still just using the default amd 2600 one), would love to go AIO but still don't like the idea of them having a limited lifespan and the risk of a leak.....

Will check out that be quiet case as well though.

Thanks.

That's an excellent choice, did you go for a dark tint tempered glass? You'll have to let us know how it was like building in it!

Yup dark tinted window one :D

Will do, probably won't arrive till later next week or the week after, quite looking forward to it now tbh!

All moved to the new case now from my antec p100.

Didn't realise just how small it would be lol, so was a pretty big pita to build in tbh.

Once finished though, it is rather nice and sleek!

Suspect mine was more of a faff as I had 2 mech drives + 2 ssd drives and my psu cables are super thick and not exactly flexible so the right side of the case cover is fitted but slightly bulging from all the cables. Definitely think the next step forward will be to replace my 250gb ssd with a 1tb m.2 drive.

Haven't got the be quiet dark rock pro 3 cpu cooler yet so still on the stock ryzen cooler and haven't replaced the case fans with the akassa apache ones either so noise wise, it is a bit louder compared to the antec p100 but not by much and temps wise, it seems much the same, maybe a bit less, hard to tell as ambient temps are different, however, no doubt once I get the new cpu cooler fitted and akassa apache fans installed, things all round will improve.

Thanks :)

Looks so much better in person, especially with the dark tinted window.

Tell me about it! Hate the location of those VGA power cables

Got to say though, the cooling is pretty good for the current setup as my antec p100 had 4 120mm fans in total, 2 at the front, 1 at the back and 2 on the top and 2 of those were akassa apache ones.

Be interesting to see the noise levels once the akassa fans are added instead of the fractal ones and with the be quiet cpu cooler, expecting a pretty quiet system then!

Hard drive cage in this seems decent, temps aren't too bad and the drives installed easily enough, can't wait to get my system free from mech drives at some point though....
