As per subject title, any recommendations?

Can maybe stretch a bit more if there's something that really worth it.

Currently I've go edifier r1600t paired with an asus essence stx 2 soundcard.

I don't think you're going to get anything better than the R1600T for less than £100

Anything that even produces the same sound as them? Not really looking for anything better as they already sound great, just the size, would like something where I can get a bit more of my desk back.

Also, I could stretch if needs be, ideally no more than £150 if that helps?

Maybe the Creative Labs T40 would fit the bill. Much smaller footprint (but tall) and cost around £95 ~ £110

The R1600T are going to be difficult to better, the issue being they have a wide response (so some bass), reasonable volume and a reasonable sound signature..

The Creative T40's (I had the first version) for me didn't have the midrange and certainly lacked in the bass department noticeably in comparison (I have R1600T's as well).

The issue is the size, basically to get a similar (or possibly slightly better in some ways) you could look at a 2.1 system (Sub + Satellites), the older AE Aego M used to be popular for the money, their newer Aego 3 is on sale for £160 (£90 off!) and might be worth a shot..

Thanks both.

Agree, definitely don't want to be downgrading on the quality front, absolutely love the edifier speakers, looks great and sounds great, just the size......

Had a quick look at those aego ones, look decent and also a controller, that will come in handy!

Don't mind having a 2.1 system or even a sound bar (doubt any sound bar for <£150 would be good though.....)

Maybe look at speaker stands or wall mounts for your existing speakers so they have less of a footprint on your desk if that is what you are trying to achieve?

Yeah that's what I am going to go with instead I think (wall mount or shelves just for the speakers) as will be doing a new desk setup in next couple of months hopefully so wanting to get my pc case up on the desk instead along with a second 21.9 monitor
