Just tried Heaven benchmark, not a peep despite running at 600+ fps.

Anything else to try?

I used timespy, and like the above poster said my current fav game state of decay 2; checked in game and at the loading screen. If you are getting 600fps+ thats pretty good with no coil whine.

Yea just game. Who cares if it whines only in a benchmark.

Oddly for me I get much less coil whine in 3DMark and Heaven than I do in actual games. Metro Enhanced is the worst for it I think. But that game has many very quiet sections, so maybe I just notice it more.

Strangely for me, mine coil whine does not seem to get much worse with higher FPS. I get whine at 50FPS~ in CP2077, and in Doom Eternal at 144.
Does slightly change pitch at 200+ fps in Titanfall 2, but not like previous cards I had. Where it only really happened at a menu with 500+ fps.

Any decent game where you're getting 100-200fps with gpu/power usage maxed will most likely bring it out. Squealing coil whine is never something thats bothered me its the buzz you get at the 100-200fps range.

Just play something that maxs out your card if you really want to test it. But I'd say just game like normal and be grateful if you cant hear any whine.

The 3070 I got from my brother ages ago has coil whine. I absolutely hate it and do not tolerate it in the slightest and no one else should either. (Funny thing is, it worked perfectly until he updated the drivers and then the whine appeared)

What percentage of gpus out there would have coil whine approximately?

A good test is a program that produces high fps(500+). I did a basic OpenGL car driving program when I was bored and it hits 2000 fps on my pc with no coil whine.
