best software instead of iTunes...

Hello, i need some software that will enable me to get all my music off my ipod, without using iTunes, as my ipod is currently synced with another pc,
iTunes will not let me copy the music on my ipod to my pc (far as i know)

You could try Winamp. It has a built-in MP3 player feature. Or, as I prefer to, you could use Winamp with the specially designed ml_iPod plugin.

If you don't want to use Winamp for just iPod stuff try, YamiPod or Rockbox. YamiPod I've known about for some time, a mate told me about Rockbox today.

drag & drop mp3 is the way it should be, iaudio make proper mp3 players

just got my ipod, was wondering with anapod, can you still copy over podcasts and things or is it just mp3's ???

Podcasts are (99% of the time) MP3s, unless you mean videocasts?

Well as gav has said most podcasts are mp3s but iPods can play some other formats. It is unlikely you have a podcast in a format the iPod can't play. And if you do it should be quite easy to convert.

They are probably mp3s if it is an audio podcast. You could turn the hide known file extension in Windows Explorer just to check.
