Best software to backup Outlook ?

hi im looking for a decent backup software one that can backup a friends outlook, as in his contacts, emails, inboxes and email settings.

Is there any decent one around ?

Tried googling a few but nothing that does it all some miss out email settings etc....

Can't you just use the export function in Outlook?

The requirement seems to be to back up settings also ..

If he has 2002, 2003 or 2007 then he can use: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9003

You can set it so whenever you close Outlook it will make a backup of the PST file for you.

The above won't do settings unfortunately.

thx for links, yeah its for a beginner with office 2007/outlook 2007 installed so he does not know how to copy pst and he wants one that does user accounts and settings really.

im aware of adolix and abf but just wondered if a newer or up to date software was available, like one for free even. Does not quite look it so ill point him towards abf

Handy Backup 7 is a decent backup software for Outlook backup, with all accounts, files, email messages, contacts, address, calendars, and stuff.

BackRex Software Outlook Backup is what you want. Used it recently and it worked a treat, kept all the folder structures, rules etc.

Migrated a user from 2003 to 2007, after a clean install working from pst files.
