Best Solution To Increase Wifi Strength

I supose, its just weird how for instance when I am downstairs and using the Wifi Analyser app it shows SKYHUB (-54dBm) and NETGEAR (-64dBm)... basically nothing in that, but if I go upstairs it goes the other way but obviously Sky Hub takes a bigger dip, could be to do with Chromecast wifi adapter but either way, I will test it tonight and hopefully it will all stream well.

And the fact I have set the router in my sons room means I have an access point for him when he decided to start wiring in PC's, Xboxs, PS4 etc lol...

Glad you got it working can I ask why you need to have the same ssid name from what I've read it's better to call them by different names so you can easily select the right one in case your device doesn't switch

Is that correct?
 
If you call them different names you'll almost certainly have to manually switch between networks if they overlap.

If they have the same name it might switch automatically (device dependant). It t doesn't disabling and enabling the wireless on the device will pickup the strongest signal and is no more effort than manually switching.
 
I've had better luck calling mine the same. Using different names I find my devices cling on for dear life to the point where I can't load a basic web page.
