Best Sound Card for under £70?

Hey,

Just bought some 7.1 surround sound speakers, Creative T7900. I have a Abit QuadGT which has onboard 7.1, however I want to get the best out of my new speakers. Any recommendations?

Xonar DX if you have a spare PCI-E x1 slot

X-Fi XtremeMusic if you don't.

Other than that - Avoid X-Fi XtremeAudio. If you're on XP, I could recommend other cards. If you're not a gamer or don't use Vista I can recommend other cards.

If you have an Abit QuadGT, I reckon you will have a PCI-E slot, so would go for the Asus Xonar DX....as already suggested.....

I have an X-Fi and I say the Xonar range.

If you don't have a spare PCIe slot for the DX, stretch the extra and get the D2. The X-Fi range aren't worth the risk that they might not work.
