Best Sound Card to hook up to a good amp?

Hi

I will soon have an Audiolab 8000s amp, and want to know the best sound card to hook it up to.... I have a Hercules Game Theatre XP at the moment... Should I stick with this, or change? I like it because it has a proper R/L phono out connector on the breakout box. However, it is big and ugly...

That's what I'm always hearing good reviews of.

The other option is to go digital out (doesn't matter to much how you do this) and then use a DAC - although you can do this in the future with the m-audio anyway.

I went from a Audigy 2zs to a m-audio Audiophile 192 and the diffence was very noticeable - much better sound stage and altogether clearer.
Money well spent
