Best sounding BOV / dump valve etc

Hi chaps,

Want to fit some kind of dump / blow off valve to my RX7.

Can you suggest a particular brand of one, also what are the differences between all the blow off / dump valve / ssqv etc.

a friend of mine has a hks ssqv on his 92 rx7, sounds brilliant. but i guess it depends on what noise you want.

The best sounding dump valve is a recirculating one that doesn't make your car sound like it's sneezing everytime you change gear.

yep the best sounding one is a recirc, the vent to atmosphere ones all sound crap.

SSQV's are nice so is the supersound, budget fun = baileys, recirc's are boring, if you have to have a recirc get a nice CAI so you can at least hear some nice noises

my celica has a recirc valve on it - i've got an open induction so i can hear the noise it makes

I've got a GFB stealth FX on mine - had it shipped from OZ.
It has the benefit of being fully adjustable from recirc through VTA so you can open it up if you're feeling chavtastic or completely closed for visiting the inlaws..

wasn't cheap mind but superbly engineered bit of kit..

After having a couple of Greddy BOV'S, a Blitz, a HKS and a Bailey I have to say that my fav bar none was the blitz. The Greddy's were unreliable and leaked at the best of times and caused very sporadic idling and accleration at the worst of times (On both a WRX and MR2 Turbo). The HKS is ott imo but works perfectly well and the Blitz and Bailey have both worked perfectly with virtually no adjusting on the blitz and have both been 100% reliable. They both give a nice clean whoosh, albiet a loud one on the Blitz but sexy none the less.
