my old cambridge soundworks dtt2500 is about to give up the gost. and iam wondering what the best speaker set to replace them

iam using a X-Fi Platinum card

I'm not a speaker person so I can't answer your question, but I imagine that you might need to specifiy whether you want 2.1, 5.1 7.1 etc :)

For a high-end sound card like an X-FI it would be a waste not to splash out on some decent Hi-fi gear to go with it (ie. an amp and dedicated speakers)

What is your budget, would you have space for 5.1 surround sound, can you afford to buy a seperate amp too, etc.?

Also what is your main use of your PC? Games? Films? TV? music?

5.1 or better if possible (since the the old 2500 was 5.1)

currently iam playing a lot of games BUT as iam getting older ive started watching a lot of dvd/tv (got a nebula tv card) and ive spend a week putting all my cd as mp3(coded at the highest bit rate) so would really like a good all rounder.

would like to get a decent Hi-fi gear ans speakers. bu truthfully i don't think for my bugget ill get anythinf half good so will most likly get a pc speaker setup

was looking at the ocuk web site. is the Logitech Z-5500 any good or is there somthign better for the money
