Hopefully some of you audiophiles can assist me with a speaker choice.

I'm buying a micro system for the bedroom and after searching and reading reviews i have decided on a Denon DM38DAB for it's spec and quality at the price point i was aiming for.

However, the speakers to buy to accompany it are a little harder to decide on.

I have narrowed it down to either:

Q Acoustics 2010 (price with denon dm38dab and qed cables £279)
Wharfdale Diamond 10.1 (price with denon dm38dab and qed cables £299)
Mission MX1 (price with denon dm38dab and qed cables £279)

So the q acoustics and missions are the same price and the wharfdales are £20 more expensive. However, reading around i am getting conflicting reviews on which is the best speaker between the 3. Any advice?

Edit: Actually i've just cross-posted this at avforums might get more response there, forgot about that place :D

Having owned the Q Acoustics I would say avoid them, sound quality was very average at best.

Can't comment on the others, I'm running Monitor Audio BR1, quite happy with them.

If you have room for something slightly bigger look on the bay for a pair of used B&W's, my Dad picked some up for £100 that sound amazing.

I think i've decided to go for the Wharfedale Diamond 10.1, for the price i'm sure i can't complain too much :)

The 10.1's cost about £70-£80 more than the QA 2010's, so going for the 2010 option at £280 is not a good choice IMO. Getting the 10.1's with the Denon, you are getting the speakers at least £50 less than they sell for on their own. Looks like a good choice to me. :)

Not heard of the DM39 before but the 38 is very good from my experience. My advice would probably be to try and pick the 38 up cheap when the 39 is released and spend the money saved on better speakers :)
