Just need the base unit, and also a set of speakers, they dont need to be anything fancy.

Would be used for gaming and all the general stuff.

Are the E2xxx's any good for gaming ?

will be overclocking as much as possible

If you can stretch then get the ballistix PC5300, it clocks much better than the giel.

Is the Noctua important for overclocking?

is the stock cooler with the 4300 crap?

because i plan to build a pc this week. but never thought of cooler

you should be able to achieve minor clocks with the stock cooler, but anything above you might need something like the Noctua or Tuniq.

I have a system oc'd to 3GHz with a E4300 on a AC7 Pro, and its under 50 at full load. So, if its too much over budget go for one of those.

how about if i swap the case and corsair psu for Antec NSK6500 Super Midi Tower Case - 430W PSU, would that be ok?

total would then be £475 so allows £25 for some speakers

Yeah that would be fine :)

Check out the specs of the psu that comes with it first though, cases coming with cheapo psus can cause problems, a previous one of mine blew nearly all of my components =<

I got my E4300 to 3GHz on the stock cooler but it does get dangerously warm under Orthos. Fine for everyday use though. Always meant to get a decent cooler to go with it but yet to get around to it.

I have the exact spec above with the Antec NSK6500 Super Midi Tower Case - 430W PSU and it runs sweet as a bird :D

Please see footnote under image incase you missed it.
