Best Streaming Software?

can anyone recommend the best software to stream movies from pc to tv?

windows media player works fine but some movies it wont see/play,same for tv,some movies it cant see hence i need a better player,vlc doesnt work for me

I use TVersity.. Works really good on my WD Live Streamer..

i need one thats not web based,something i can play on pc to stream to tv,sorry only just starting to do this so its all new to me

problem im having is that my tv samsung ue32d6100 is nt seeing all my videos on my pc,some are missing

Bit late to this thread but i thought i'd add that i use Mezzmo. I had problems with different software not playing some files. everything i tried i would find the odd file that wouldn't stream. Until Mezzmo. now everything plays. Nice gui as well. Down side. It isn't free. Can get a free trial and like me you will prolly find it's worth paying the few quid it costs.

I use TVersity and stream through my PS3 currently although will be changing to a WDTV Live next week. I might try this Mezzmo as it looks useful and pretty cheap.

I use Twonky Server for DLNA. Works seamlessly with everything.

Depends what your streaming too really doesnt it.

I use PS3 server for PS3 and Airplay to ipad and iphones etc.

doesnt xbmc stream or is that purly hardware based connected to tv?
