Is there a particular program that is THE be all and end all of stability testing? I am aware that the different stress tests have a different method of testing and so stress the CPU differently at full load.

Also, what program is the definitive test of stability? I have had PCs that can do prime 95 24/7 yet fail almost immediately under different programs.

What prime test are you using? Blend usually find a lot of issues that the other 2 dont however i have noticed IBT and Linx seem to be popular at the mo, I dont think there is a final 100% be all test that everyone agrees on.

LinX is the same stress method as IBT but a little less buggy (IBT sometimes launches the wrong number of threads for me), so I like that one. But orthos (my c2d likes it better than prime) is a good one for testing cpu only with the small fft test.

IBT or Linx for me but I would still do a16/24 hour test of prime under blend mode if I wanted to use a particular o clock full time.

Hope this helps
