Hi there,

Just trying to put togither some new comps which will be going into a vet surgery. There will be lots and lots of hair and dust in there (going by the last computers)

New comps will have 2x 120mm fans (push/pull set up) and there is also other ventilation holes in the cases.

What is the best way of going about keeping dust/hair out but not restricting the flow of air too much?

Thanx

(admins feel free to move this to where ever is best cooling or cases maby? i didnt know)

Get a case that has air filters in the intakes (usually at the front).

Of course this means that someone will need to *clean* the filters once in a while...otherwise cooling will not be as good.

Can u buy the air filters on there own? would B&Q or such do anything useful?

Tights maby....but ill need to send the gf to buy them :p

You can get the filters from OcUK - at least I think that's where I got mine from. They just clip on, and job's a good one!

I'd only bother getting one for the intake fan - for obvious reasons. :p

I hope you're running the fans at 5/7v. 12v 120mm fans can be noisey.

Noise dont matter too much as will be in a work place which will be quite noisy anyway.

hmm i havnt spotted the filters on OCUK?
