Best sub 100 acousit guitar?

Most under 100 will sound pretty similar. Just go into a shop and find one you like the look of - They will all sound pretty nice, even at that price (ahhh the wonders of the acoustic!).

Don't buy one with crappy plastic strings though. The sound is just pap!

Friend of mine had a Tanglewood TW28 (I think) which sounded quite good and cost around £100

more likely to get ones with high action makin it more difficult to get it to sound how its sposed to, you could mess with it but its not advisable.

I always thought that its weird that its harder to play the guitars that your most likely to get when your startin. I played my guitar teachers 12 hundred quid custom gibson smartwood once, not hard to sound mint on that.

Thats like them givin you a 20 year old range rover to learn to drive in.

I'll have you know that was the first car I drove :/

However the tanglewood I mentioned seemed to have quite a warm sound and my friend who had it found it quite easy to use :)

I looked for a cheap acoustic a while back. The Yamaha's were good but I found the Fender DG5 to be a better option for the price. Maybe I just picked up a good one.

Don't buy a Fender, the sub £100 Fenders are very poor so don't be fooled by the name.

Mmmm, my cousin bought a black fender acoustic around the £100 mark, really nice for the money. They could be hit and miss, like many cheap guitars.

Even expensive guitars often leave the factory with shocking set up jobs.

I purchased an Earthfire Solar flare acoustic a couple of years ago ater it was recommended by my teacher. Fantastic guitar gets played most days. Check ut reviews of this guitar always good. Current prices are about 100-120

I would disagree, I have a fender DG5 and it cost me £90 new, for the money it sounded and played better than everything else in its category that I tried.

I have no problems with it de tuning or its intonation at the 12th a typical poor trait of cheaper guitars.

After 18 months ownership, its still going strong and its a joy to play.

I have a £1000 Taylor which I think plays and sounds beautiful. My friend has a £150 Tanglewood Parlour guitar, and is easily comparible to my Taylor in every aspect. Playability is fantastic, sound is fantastic, intination can be a little out sometimes. But for £150, it's the best acoustic guitar I've ever played. Puts my old Martin to shame at £700.

EDIT: Just remembered my late 60's Epi cost me £100 and that's probably nicer so scratch that. But still, a fantastic guitar.
