Best sub £300 SIM free mobile?

Sounds good. Might take a peek at the spec sheet.
Yeah coming from a s24 it's night and day.

The s24 has a better camera setup, less ad-spammy apps. The apps can be managed so that the spam is kept to a minimum so I haven't found this a big issue.

The Poco has the snapdragon Vs the exynos on the s24. This gives the Poco a much better modem and battery life Vs the s24. The 6200mah battery is also 1.5x the capacity too. And practically an all-day battery life.
Started the day at 0600 with 80%, currently sitting at 61%.

Was the price you paid a limited deal?

The Edge 60 is £299, but the Edge 60 Pro is also available at £399. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the £100 extra?
Sounds like a different processor and battery, both potentially better in the Pro but I guess the question is whether they are £100 better in real life not just on paper

Nice ta. Will keep an eye out if it drops again.
Yeah, Xiaomi normally do lots of promo so I wouldn't buy it at £369. The only caveat is if the ram shortages will hit Xiaomi in the near future as well in which case I'm sure the promos will dry up as costs start to increase

Haven't purchased a new phone yet as Edge 40 neo is hanging on although the camera lens is broken and the front screen is now about 8 different pieces. Somehow still being held together....

Now looking at G86 for under £200.

Although I like the look of the Nothing 3a, and can get a pixel 9 for £350. That's still a lot of money IMO for a phone I could drop tomorrow.

I am a bit closer...

I just bought a Xiaomi Poco f8 pro for £269 last week. Really good phone. Snapdragon elite/12gb/256gb and 6200mah battery
Finally took the plunge. Pulled the trigger on the Poco F8 Ultra. Managed, with trade in (once that comes through), to nab the denim colour 12GB+256GB for £470.

nice! i was debating getting the f8 ultra vs the f8 pro but in the end couldn't justify that £180 extra (at the time)

How do you find the battery on it?

It's been fine touch wood although I think I have adaptive battery charging setup . Sometimes its slow at charging sometimes not.

The phone itself is good . if your a person that has location on and running loads of apps plus multiple browsers and forget to turn it off like with any phone I guess it will drain the battery . Hence why usually I turn them off if I'm not using it. No noticeable battery drain when using Bluetooth
