Hi My Poco X3 NFC is coming to the end of its time. Looking for a sub £400 phone, but the best bang for buck camera phone at that level. Any suggestions welcome. Cheers

Thank you. I have got used to the 6.67in screen. The step down in size might be a step too far. It might be a compromise I have to make though

In that case, the Pixel 7 can be had for £499 and is 6.3" or you can look for a Pixel 6 Pro in 2nd hand market for a bit less but is 6.7"

Hadn't realise you could get a Pixel 7 for that much (and some interest free deals too). I'll have to look at one in store. Thanks for all the suggestions

I like the pixel, (software for the hardware is much better than it used to be years ago(roms)) got the Mrs a 6 as I wanted those headphones it came with back then.....

I was recently looking for a better camera phone (with at least ultra wide, wide and standard/telephoto) around the £300 mark new as I realised I wasn't using any of my camera equipment regularly anymore and sold it off, but I ended up getting an iPhone 11 Pro instead for £200 after recycling my old phone.

Can get an iPhone 12 Pro under £400 now if you look carefully.

Guess it depends if you're wedded to Android or not though. Xperia 5's can be had cheap, but then support for the older models has fallen off a cliff, hence why I stick with iOS.

The Chinese branded phones are all too massive for me.

Xperia 5's can be head cheap,

I've recently changed my Xperia 5 for a Samsung S21 Ultra and the difference in photo quality is night and day, I've now got the camera I've always wanted. The macro is to die for which I use a lot, the Xperia 5 can't do it.
My mate has just had the new Pixel so we did comparison shots in a pub and the Pixel just edged it.

I was considering the S22 for £350~ but I've never liked the look of Samsung's processing. Too contrasty and often overexposed from what I've seen.

I'm not an 'expert' on photo quality I just know what I like and the S21 pictures have knocked spots off everything I've owned plus the people who send me photo's from other makes.
IOS always seem good though - spit.
My brother In Law had a Coldplay (spit again) concert on from You Tube and the quality was outstanding, I emailed the bloke who uploaded it and he said it was done on an iPhone 6.

Base s22 has an okay cam. Nothing special.

Need to get the ultra for a good cam. And yes Samsung oversaturate for me was well.

Just trying to decide if I can do without expandable memory. Are there any decent cameras in my price range that I can add a memory card to?
