Yes, i understand people here dont like supplements, however..

I think they provide a quick fix at times when you dont have the chance to cook up natural alternatives.

For anyone who uses them..

What do you think is the best? and where do you buy from?

Im pretty tempted by boditronics.co.uk the staff there are great and have helped me with diet advice, although i havent bought anything from them as of yet.

Sorry im sure id read people saying not to bother with protein shakes etc and eat the right things instead :)

Some use water, I use milk (semi skimmed) myself because there's 3.6g of protein per 100ml (half a litre of milk + say 30g of whey is a good amount for a shake). You can get "shakers" from the site I mentioned which are very very handy and make it a lot easier to mix.

My shake usually consists of:

30g whey
20g oats
3-5g of creatine (monohydrate) (about a level teaspoon)
A couple of teaspoons of milkshake powder for taste.

Well the company that makes the best supplements/best value IMO would either be Reflex Nutrition or PhD Nutrition.

They're ok but still at least 2-4 times the price of what's already been recommended.

For people attracted by nice shiny stickers and fancy looking tubs to be honest. The contents are no better and sometimes inferior.

You ever used boditronics.co.uk chong?

ive read good things and the guy who runs it is helpful with diet tips and stuff.

I've seen their site and had a look at their products. Again they seem ok but still at least 2-4 times the cost of what I pay for supplements from myprotein. Some of their products are better than others.
