Shouldn't this be renamed by a previous MS executive who recently changed companies out of the blue to Best Windows 7 apps OFFICIAL THREAD?

Alas Symbian S60v3 - your prime N9x era was too short. First app store, (although it had nothing in it), decent battery life, slightly wierd OS design choices, we hardly knew thee.

As much as I loved the Nokia Communicator series, dropping it was the best thing I ever did. But there’s history there and I respect that.

Maybe this thread should be put in the ‘Retro’ Section?

wow this looks OFFICIAL omg.. btw Symbian is a DYING OS so whats the point of it.. let it die..

You've just listed the only 4 apps that are available for Symbian :p

HELLO...HELLO IS THERE ANYBODY IN HERE......HELLO......so quiet up in here must be because Symbian died a long time ago:p

Why bother posting if you're not going add anything constructive to the thread? If people trashed an Android or iOS thread in similar style, people would be indignant.

My favourite Symbian apps are mavity and Joikuspot. Opera mini is useful too.

I thought this was a joke thread too to be honest, considering what has happened, you can't really be angry at them. The OS is officially going to be put to rest therefore devs are abandoning the platform as quick as they can along with all their good skills and ideas.

Symbian had a decent innings and the people at Psion who gave birth to it should be proud of the marketshare they had for many many years but Nokia's decisions to buy and open the OS along with some questionable handset decisions ultimately crippled any chance of it regaining the position it lost.

S40 & S60 will always be known as super stable (you ever see it crash? I mean really crash, not "run out of memory"), efficient OS's that gave way to the next generation after almost a decade as the king of the hill. 350M+ devices were sold with it on. If the iPhone or Android have a quarter of that I'll be impressed.
