best tanning lotion

Butter is better than any of that expensive crap. Gives you a lovely golden tan and it's a fraction of the price. Natural too, so better for your skin.

I have to agree there. Do you want me to post my before and after shots to show the effects? It's quite surprising.

I was surprised at how good it was.

For extra protection you can buy a tin of UVB rays from boots, they counter the UVA rays from the sun. JohnnyG is a big fan of them.

Yes please :P

Also what is the best butter to use? And will "I can't believe it's not butter" work?

Is this butter, as in the type you spread on your bread, or a self tanning brand called Butter?

The stuff you put on your bread. The natural oils in it work wonders at giving you a tan. It doesn't offer the best protection but you can't have great tanning and top pretection at once. You have to sacrafice one for the other :)

I'd advise doing a test on a small area of skin first because some people's faces are sensitive to butter. If it doesn't react then feel free to use it, it's excellent stuff.

Most people's faces are much darker than the rest of their body anyway, so it should work out quite nicely anyway.

Surely putting butter on your face will give you loads of spots? :/

Why? Having a fake tan in this weather will make you look daft.

you can get a perfectly good tan in this weather, just get a job outside. I've browned up nicely in the last week.

Obviously I applied some butter before working in the sun. It does the trick nicely.

Same. I honestly think I've got noticably more tanned today.
