Best thermal paste

As far as I understand they're all the same. I got a tube from an Electronics store for about 50p years ago and I still use that!
 
Best i've used so far is the IC Diamond 24 Carat paste, but thats pretty pricey, think the second best after that is MX3 or maybe AS5
 
mx-4 is the best paste there is just now...used to use as5 but this is 3c cooler on my cpu idle than as5 and 6-7c on load better
 
I have just been reading reviews of thermal pastes. Apparently the king is CoolJag Shin-Etsu X23 7783D Has anybody ever used it?

Edit: I have just read on another forum somebody who claims with this paste he was able to drop his max temps by 13c over his previous paste.

Arctic MX-4 is better than Arctic Silver 5 by quite a lot.
THE BEST paste is some liquid metal one, but if you get the tiniest bit out of place itll fry something.

When I researched it a lot, mx 2 was good, mx 3 had come out and was top dog until GC Extreme came out that equaled it but spread easier, now MX 4 is out and its colder and spreads easy :)
