Best thing to clean hardware?

I'm selling my old hardware from my old pc but some are a bit dusty. Whats the best method to clean them?

personally I like using a hairdryer...I have also found ex gf's make up brushes work well or just normal paintbrushes...cotton buds are pretty handy too...

this is my 5yr old PC after I got it back from a friend who used it for 2yrs...it took me a good 2hrs to clean it...

And all I used to clean that was cotton buds, wet wipes (Dettol ones ), dust cloths and paintbrush.

yea i use compressed air, i do have 150psi Air compressor in the garage that i use

The ideal solution of course, though requires an initial investment. I've been looking for a cheap one that'd be safe to use on PCs actually, fed up of expensive cans.

yea, mines mainly used for the Cars tyres bikes etc but it was about £70 from netto i think cheap n cheerful power craft!

I use this dinky dyson hose tool to clean heatsinks and get into the corners and what not

Compressed air, cotton buds, paintbrushes and a lint-free cloth are all you'll need!

Compressed air and various paint brushes, i usually blast all the dust onto the bottom of the case then hoover it up, though i recently took out my TRUE black and rinsed it below the tap, took ages for it to dry out.

You say that, but I've done it many times before with no problems, as have a lot of people I know.

I take the PC to a kindly local garage, and use their airline to blow out the dust. As I work around the case, I will jam the fans with a biro or something similar, to stop them turning and generating any back EMF. I've done this many times without any problems.

I have some pcp air rifles, so now n again i use hpa lol

Mainly as above i use a decent hairdryer on cold high flow obviously

Natural bristled paint brushes too, for 120mm fans etc i remove and use a stiff bristled brush (outside as you'd be amazed at all the carp stuck to the fan blades lol)

When cleaning my rads i blow opposite to the flow from fans, then just remove fans and clean as above

Hover and a new soft paint brush works realy well for the cleaning
