Best thing to use to remove thermal paste

I have some isopropyl alcohol and i was wondering whats the best thing to apply it to to remove the paste?

I heard coffee filters are good but the ones i have are fairly abrasive so im uncertain whether it would be a good idea to use it?

Would it not be a good idea to use the coffee filter i have though? Since its fairly abrasive?
