Bathgate to Burton on Trent (EH48 1BA to DE13 7AB)

Can leave any time, just need to be at the place in Burton for about an hour between 10am-4pm then straight back home

I'm thinking leave early enough to avoid the rush around Bellshill/Raith area...no idea where the busy parts/junctions are further down tho

Ideally want to miss the traffic on the way back too!

M8, M74,M6, M6 Toll and onto the A38.

If you want to miss traffic leave around 3am and then head back after say 7:30 pm.

Your still looking at a good 4.5-5hours drive time.

ah cheers...I’m only wanting to stay down there for about an hour and head back home tho

Been checking travel time on google maps during rush hour...doesn’t seem to be too much added time but 20 mins in traffic can seem like ages!

Seems a long way to go for just an hour!

Personally i think i'd leave about 4:30ish to get there for 10, do whatever you need to for an hour, then leaving at 11. You might catch a bit of school traffic/rush hour just as you're arriving back close to home.

nothing that exciting I'm afraid :p....going to look at used vehicles at Ryder

If I'd planned it a bit better could have got a flight to Birmingham then a taxi, or hire a car for not much more than the fuel will cost to drive there and back!

Just tell them you were there and hopefully they won't have noticed. If they did notice - just gaslight the **** out of them :)
