Best time to go to Alton Towers? Least kids and short as poss Q's? NOT MEET THREAD!

Hello people, before you say it....... I know the best time to go is when all you lot are going to be there. But try and put that aside.

I am going to take my G/F (for her bday, she likes that sort of thing) there for the day between the dates of 24th March and 24th April. Can be any time in between these dates, as we will both be on Holliday from uni then. It would be best to go at a time where there are fewest people there, no point in going all that way to stand in a que all day.

So when would you recommend the best time to go? I was thinking avoid weekends and school holidays, but apart from that I’m not sure.

Also I’ve seen some “buy one get one free" tickets on ebay for around a fiver. Was thinking about getting on of these to save some money, can you get them free anywhere? Any other money saving tips you got?

Well its only two weeks or so untill I'm going so that might not help.

What about school trips, might this make it packed?

Thanks mate, I suppose most of the trips take place at he end of the summer term. What where the Q's like when you went around this time of year?
 
Will probally give them a call a few days before I go and see what the score is. I've seen this fast Q thing, but dismissed it (like you said that it would help to much unless its bisy), because of the time it would take to get around to all the rides to get a ride time.
