best time to put something on ebay ?

Hi,

was just wondering when is the best time to put something on ebay ? my g/f thinks Sunday night about 7-8pm.

My brother however think sunday isn't that good, but any weekday is fine, just not Friday and Saturday.

Anyone know or does it depends on what is being sold, btw it's a mobile phone. Guess sunday does make sense.
 
Depends how long the auction lasts?

Example, I wouldn't list something that was going to end on say a Friday or Saturday night.

I tend to make sure an items ends at around 930pm, as to the day, I dunno if it matters that much?
 
sunday evening used to be the best time to have an auction end (list on thurs if your listing for 10 days, or on a sunday if your listing for 7 days).
But over the past few months ebay has started to almost grind to a hault on sunday evenings.

ie some bidders getting "Page Not Responding" or "Service Terporarily Unavailable" when trying to view an auction or place a bid, the my ebay page saying "Some of your information is currenly unavailable" - meaning bidders cant see their watched list. - they can search but some end up with the Page not responding error.

This has happened on a number of sundays when i have had auctions ending - all with quite a few watchers who wont beable to get to the page - look on the ebay UK board on the ebay site to see the number of people who have complained about this problem which is starting to happen more and more often.

eBays explination - there are currenly no problems with our servers to cause this to happen - even tho it happens almost everyweek.
