I have just installed countestrike source onto my new setup and it looks great but i cannot get it to enable v-sync.

Tried both the nvidia control panel and ingame tools to enable it but it just does not work you just get that screen tearing. :(

setup

acer al1916w ws monitor
xfx 7800 gt in (sli) mode
amd 4400+ cpu

TIA.

Thanks for the reply but i tried powerstrip and it had no effect at all on counterstrike source.Does seem rather odd that i cannot enable it on a widescreen monitor.

I've found it to be a driver issue in the past.

When I played CS, I had to have my perfect screen, if I could see tearing I can't play the game properly, just mental thing.

I tried everything, vsync was on, and the FPS was set to that refreshrate. Problem is, nomatter what I tried, the thing just didn't lock the frames, and it tore all over the place.

You could try some other GFX card drivers, maybe omegas if they're any good these days (not used new drivers in ages).

Just add the coolbits2.reg and use the refresh rate override option.

Edit- oh you have, maybe its an SLI issue? Works fine with every single GPU I've had.

Well i enabled the coolbits2.reg and went with one gpu and it worked.

In SLI mode it does not work.
