Best Turned base RPG's

Looking for some good 'Turn' based RPG's.Up to now i have Final fantasy X and Skies of Arcadia (Dreamcast version).Prefer turn based over real time as its easier to plan attacks etc, and i cant think that fast :D Not too keen on FFX-2 battle system although i am playing through it.

Any other good ones i should be playing on either PS2,Gamecube,Dreamcast :eek: or PC ?

Star wars knights of the old republic 1 and 2 for PC all I can think of lol. Could try FF 7,8 & 9 on your Ps2 if you havent already as long as graphics don't bother you (which they shouldn't!!) because they all have great storys. FF 12 comes out in the next 2 months also but it isn't turn based none at all but it is still said to be one of the best since FF 7.

Edit: how could i forget play Fable lost chapters on PC. I didnt add it because its for xbox but it did get a Pc release a bit later. Again not turnbased but its gameplay is great fun.

Another bote for FF 7, 8 or 9. Or all 3 in that order.

7 > 6 > 10 > 8 > 9 is more like it. They are all still great though. Dunno why people ahve to have a go at 9 I used to hate it till I tried to play through it again and actually enjoyed it.

Actually it felt ok to play, but I couldn't help feeling like it was made for children - as has already been said.

ive got this game, but havent got round to playing it yet.Up to now ive got Skies of arcadia,shenmue and FFX-2 on the go :D

Hey, 7 could do that on it's own :D

9 isn't a bad game, but after 7 and 8 it was a disappointment really. There's just nothing to it.

To that end it might pay to play it first, if you really want to.
 
It's nice to be somewhere people like 7. On the gamefaqs FFIII board everyone seems to hate it and love 9. Me personally I love all of them, just 7 slightly more.

What are the dragon quest games like? Are they turn based or real time? I hear they are more popular than FF in Japan.
 
FF 7 is guaranteed 150 hours game play thats if you play through again and again to finish everything. (in the 8 years I played it must have played through atleast 15 times. 4 of those were when I first got it because I always missed something).

Thats why you should keep away from GameFAQ's the majority of people who post there can't spell and are ignorant. I only use for game help and only read the forums. All you have to do is ask a simple question and you get flamed :/
