What's the recommended universal remote these days? I've got a Panasonic tv , Onkyo receiver and Sky box which I want to control with just one remote.

Flexible with the budget, want something that is fairly intuitive and reliable.

Sky remote. It can be programmed to control the Onkyo for power on/off and volume which is enough if all the source is mainly is the Sky box anyway.

Harmony remotes have the volume market sewn up above the basic 4-way/6-way coded remotes. Above Harmony then there's the fully customisable remotes, but I suspect that £600 for hardware + programming cost is somewhat OTT for the system as described.

I have the Sky remote configured to do this, but I have multiple sources so want more control.

I also have a Wii plugged directly into the TV so need control over the TV source input too. Will check out the Harmony Ultimate one, cheers Vincent.

The only universal remote I have ever found which has worked with everything is Smart Remote for Tablet. I use it on my Galaxy Note 10.1 and I am yet to find a make it can't handle and it does all functions, not just the basic ones.

Harmony Smart, no need for the touch screen and extra price that comes with it on the ultimate for me.

Definitely the Logitech Harmony One or Ultimate.

If everything is normal IR controlled, the 'ONE' is fine, the ultimate is essentially the same remote just with a smart hub for non IR devices..

The Ultimate is also on offer at the moment at a retail park electrical store for £99..

I've used Harmony remotes for years, with so much kit to 'coordinate' it just makes using everything wife and kid friendly as well as taking the hassle out of it for myself.

Thanks for all the advice, the rainforest retailer also seems to doing the ultimate one for £99. Cheers.
