hi,

what is the best adsl broadband provider? i know on gadgetshow ages ago they said sky broadband was good and truely unlimited...and as i have sky anyway, seems like a good deal. are they still worth going with? at the moment im with adsl24

i'm not too bothered on price, as long as its under 30 quid or so

Sky are a good provider as long as you can get Sky/Easynet LLU in your area. Expect pings to be a little higher than ADSL24, although you can ring tech support and get them reduce the interleave depth on the line (lowering pings). As you already have Sky and unless your a hardcore gamer and ping absolutely matters then its a no brainer really.

Alternatively BE are good for a 'tunable' line as they offer various options to reduce pings etc if your a hardcore gamer, otherwise go with O2.

tldr; depends on your needs :)

hi,
i don't game online. though i do use the web almost every hour i'm up (i work online).

how can i check if i can get sky/easynet llu? i seem to recall checking a while ago and i could get it. don't think i can get BE though IIRC

are o2 truely unlimited or do they have a fair use policy?

looks like i can't even get sky.

The only ones i can get is ADSL, no LLU operators. it does say that BT have set a target date of Q3 2009 for the switch to 21CN for my local exchange

whats the next best option?

Try checking to see if you have Virgin Media available in your area then? that's the next fastest potentially....

BE, just make sure you cover your eyes when you visit their website.:)

Read the above posts, no LLU available on his exchange. If was in the OP's position I'd probably go with Plusnet 'unlimited' rather than any 'unlimited' deal from awful ISP's like Tiscali and Virgin ADSL.
