Hello all
I built a PC back in 2008(!) which has been running really well with a few upgrades, but having firmly decided not to go down the console route I'm thinking it's time to invest in some upgrades so it can keep up with some more modern games
Current specs:
Core2Quad Q9550
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
4GB Crucial
Samsung 830 SSD
OCZ Vertex SSD
MSI TwinFrozr Geforce 560Ti
Antec 300 case
Corsair VX 450W PSU
The oldest parts are the mobo, CPU and RAM, so I'm thinking they're ripe for replacement.
Any broad suggestions as to a reasonable budget replacement for those parts (say £250 max)? Or would something else make more sense? I've been out of the hardware game for a good while, so I'm a lot less familiar with the Intel and AMD CPU offerings these days.
I'm not necessarily looking for precise recommendations, just some pointers on what product families are sensible (I'm finding the Core product range naming needlessly complicated).
Any suggestions much appreciated
