Whats the best upgrade in your opinion from a 6600gt PCI-E, bearing in mind i have around £70ish to spend.

Spec:

X2 3800+ @ 3350mhz
1gb crucial RAM

I don't mind 2nd hand etc..

I do play games, but i don't demand ultra high graphics!

My 6600gt still play all games I have tried, but its starting to show its age!!

Also bear in mind that my max resolution is 1280x1024.

Cheers!

Cheers for the quick replies, i reckon ill go for ati then.

Whats the drivers/software like when compared to nvidias?

Im well used to the nvidias control panel etc. Is atis just as good?

Cheers

The drivers are pretty much the same, features etc. I wouldnt worry about it, as any differences become 2nd nature very quickly.

And yeah the X1950pro would be a big step up. And a great price.

i went from 6600gt > 7600gt > x1950pro

A good increase in performance each time. I think the small price gap now between the 7600gt and x1950pro you should go for the x1950pro.
