Upgrade ideas for lads PC for Xmas.

Current spec:
6800k with stock cooler / no overclock
mATX FM2+ A88 Gigabyte Mobo (F2A88XM D3H?)
Corsair CXM 500W PSU semi mod
Saphire 2GB R9 270
8GB Avexir 2133 ram
Cheapo keyboard/mouse bundle
Acer 24" 1080p 60hz monitor
Xigmatek Alfar Midi tower with broken audio header
Samsung 850 Evo - 240GB SSD
WD Blue 1TB HDD

The noise from his keyboard drives me mad so ideally want a quiet kb.
His GPU runs quite loud also when he plays BF4, so much so that I can hear it in the next room when I'm trying to sleep.
His HDD is more than 90% full so going to get a new 2TB drive.

TBH, he is happy enough with the performance of his PC/GPU, it's me that wants to upgrade it to reduce the noise/vibration.

To reduce noise and or vibration I would suggest a new case with high quality fans. Stock cooler is the biggest noise faceted in your case.

Air cooler I would say go with cooler master 212s or a aio water cooler such as h80

Get rid of the crappy stock cooler and look at the Noctuas for air or an AIO. If the card is too noisy either upgrade it or change the cooler to something cheap like a Gelid icy vision 2.

If he's happy with performance then why upgrade?

If you want to make things quieter then you could always go with a Fractal Design Define R5 case and a decent CPU cooler like a Noctua too make things quieter?

Because of the noise as the OP is complaining about, stock coolers are terrible and loud. The GPU makes sense to change the cooler for a cheap Gelid too and is simple enough. Not sure how loud the case fans are but the main noise will be likely screaming from the GPU when high load and stock cooler.
