best upgrade path?

I have a Thermaltake Lanbox, I realise this is a seriously small case...but I was going to build up a new gaming computer inside it.

I wanted to know, what kind of cpu do you recommend for a case of this size? It needs an MATX motherboard. I have a Hiper Type R 580 Watt PSU inside it and from what I can see (and I had the same issue with my last setup inside this case), that there is not so much clearance to have some of these high performance 3rd party CPU cooler/heatsink fan.

Also, regarding GPU, is a 4870x2 / 5850 / GTX 280 going to work well under this kind of temperature?

your hiper is *crap* if i want to say it, heck i had the blue hiper Type-R 580W myself and it dint even want to run phenom 9850 125W, HD 3870 and a buch of harddrives

surely 580watts is more than enough to run that.
