Hi all,

Been using Clonezilla but its not the most user friendly of tools. Just wondering if there are any better, recommended, ones that do not need installing in windows or linux?

1. Just want to be able to boot it off USB and have it clone a drive to an external drive
2. Bootable from USB so can do linux or windows machines
3. Doesn't require installing software in Windows

Looks like the others need you to install software and create "restore disks" for each machine which is annoying?

I've not used a recent one, but Acronis True Image can make a USB bootable Linux-based backup. It's basically their Windows app, but in Linux form, and works with either Linux or Windows-based machines.

It does require installation on a machine to build the USB stick though, but of course you could install it on a temporary virtual machine and build the stick that way.
