Hi,

We are on a very tight budget and with psu of 430w.
Which card would you suggest for 1080p gaming?
Cpu: Athlon x4 and budget 100€

Thx

Corsair CX 430W
What about GTX 460?

It will do the job @ 1080P but you should try and get as high range as you can, try for a GTX 470 if Nvidia is what you want :)

6870 vs GTX 460

6870 vs GTX 470

6950 vs GTX 470

GTX 480 is heavy on power consumption, and it runs very hot, you PSU should run it but it will be at the limit.

The AMD 6### series is a better GPU and more power efficient, the 6870 is a good cheap GPU.

460's are alright, especially for slightly older games.
Should be able to run anything on high-max at 1080p that wasn't released within the last year.

I'm running a 6850, coupled with my 3770k This thing is still playing games the likes of BF3 and Skyrim High/Ultra.

But you are using an Athlon wont get the same performance I would get, but should still see some decent figures, so I'd aim for a 6870/2gb 6950, seen a few of them go for around £100

Thank you for all the replies! Let me tell you what I have found so far:
1) GTX 460 768MB...70€
2) GTX 560 1GB DDR5 (single fan)...90€
3) HD 6870 1GB DDR5...100€
4) HD 6850 VaporX 1GB DDR5...100€

I was looking for a GTX card in order to try it as a physx card as well paired with a 7970 in another PC...

Regarding the 68xx cards, are you sure my PSU can hold them?

Yes it will, out of that bunch I would get the GTX 560, which will also be fine with your PSU.
