Best value ADSL for heavy downloader?

I'm currently leaning towards:

NILDRAM - 8MB BROADBAND 2 - 50GB/UNLIMITED OFF PEAK

Being a very heavy BitTorrernt user (for non-copyrighted material only...naturally) I think this is my best bet, barring possibly Zen who work out a tad too pricy for me.

Can any suggest any better alternatives?

PS cable is not an option unfornately as my landlady won't approve the installation. :mad:

Heavy bittorrent user, but you want a 50gb service? I like Be*. They're cheap and fast depending on where you are.

Nildram's Broadband 2 package is unlimited off-peak, which is when I'll be doing most of my downloading.

Be*'s not available in my area for a few months.

You've got easynet, why not try UK Online? I don't think an extra 5/10 a month will break the bank (and that's coming from a student).

get 22meg ukonline (easynet) for 29.99 a month. Fantastic speeds and completely unlimited. The Ukonline LLU service is fantastic, it's just the regular BT service that gives them a slightly bad rep at times. Honestly, you won't regret it. I download (only non copy righted material, naturally...) torrents at in excess of 1.5 MegaBYTES per second, even during the day.

UKonline does look very promising, however the only thing I'm concerned with is that if I move house in 6 months, the area I move to may not have their LLU, in which case I think I'm stuffed.

In the past if they have been unable to supply LLU when you move home they have released customers from their 12 month contract. However now that Sky have taken over I don't know if that will continue.

Thats good to know. I am a student so I was expecting to have to pay for 12 months but this should mean that if I tell them I'm just moving house and give my parents address (non-enabled area) then I should be able to get out of paying for the last 3 months

Using Bulldog I get around 1.8MBytes per sec and have downloaded over 500GB in the last 2 months, but I am not if they are taking new people at the moment know it's all tied up with pipex.

I thought Bulldog was "upto 16mbps" so how are you acheiving 1.8MB/S?? 1.5/1.6 I could understand.

Bulldog is ADSL2+, thats up to 24MB, but I sync at uo to 18000kb, normally 17500kb ish. They advatised 16MB as most people will be lucky to even get that.

16mbit is 2meg/sec anyway, so 1.8meg/sec is perfectly feasible.

It's not the same as BT Wholesale where 8mbit is really 7.15mbit.
