As per title, what is your go too chamois cream? Over the years the increase in price for chamois cream stopped me from buying any of the main brand stuff.

For the last two years I have been using Battles Udder Cream with good success. If you don't know what Udder Cream is, it is normally used on cattle  It has served me well, it is a little sticky when first applying but is fine once I've been mooooving for a while.
At a cost of around £17 per 1.1kg tub, it is ridiculous value! I can honestly say the only difference over cycle brand stuff is the stickiness.

I am looking to treat myself to a tub of branded chamois cream for my longer rides, the udder cream will still be my go too.

"Battles Udder Cream is a traditional, readily absorbent, and antiseptic formula designed for treating chaps, sores, and maintaining skin condition in cattle and for protection against mud fever in horses. The primary active ingredient is 0.1% Cetrimide B.P., complemented by a base of water, emulsifying wax, petroleum jelly, oils, and preservatives"

I've got some Assos stuff at home, and Styrkr stuff at work. Don't use them all the time, only for longer rides or when you feel you might need a bit of 'help' lol.

I can't say I've noticed any real difference between them, the Styrkr has the consistency of mayo, so easier to apply, where the Assos one is much more solid and you have to work it in. Can't remember the price of either, they've lasted quite a while now.

beofre I read this was going to suggest udder cream! :D I used to go through so much chamois cream - 2 rides a day 4 days a week to work and back and then weekend riding! used to go through a pot of Muc Off which was my preferred every month it felt like. moved to Udder Cream off of whoever suggested it on here and not looked back, provides the same all day comfort and protection as any other cream and the consistency for me is absolutely spot on compared to some that are too runny or too hard. (Assos)

Was using Rapha, latest stuff is Assos. Can't really tell the difference to be honest. I only use it on really long rides and you don't need much so easy get 12 months or more from a tub which makes it cheap whichever brand you buy.

udder cream here too. Also got some of the muc-off stuff which you can find reasonably priced compared with some

...yep.... Udder Cream.

Branded things, after a ride there often wasn't much evidence of it. Udder cream needs washing off! I guess that's a good thing?

I have Muc Off, in fact i have loads because i ordered a pot from Amazon and they delivered a box of 8 pots. I very rarely use it though so it's just sat on the shelf. Hoping there's no best before date.
