Best Value for money Socket LGA 775 Cpu

Search for Q9650 and search completed listings, most sold for around £80 but some have gone for as much as £130 which is pretty insane!

EDIT: You originally quoted me talking about the Q9650, are you talking about that or the Q6600? There is a big difference in price between the two.

^Ah, just saw you meant the Q6600, makes more sense now :)

Hi im looking for the best value for money cpu to buy to put in my 11 year olds ASUS P5B Deluxe, he already has a E6600 in there and was wondering if its worth upgrading it, if so what would u recommend?

Or is it not worth upgrading

Thxs
You'd get a more tailored recommendation if you stated exactly what your computer usage is and what are the main things you'll be doing on it.

If it's just low to mid end gaming/office/internet use a higher speed 2 core CPU would be a decent upgrade.

E8400 go for £10-15 inc shipping (E8500/E8600 if the price is right)
