Best value GPU for 1440p gaming for the next 3 years?

I'm currently putting together a new gaming PC based around AMD 7 7800X3D CPU. I'd like some recommendations on a GPU that will be good for playing mostly FPS's at 1440p with high detail for the next 3 years. My max budget is £800 but if I could get something closer to £500 that would be a win!

Thanks guys, I’m currently on a Laptop with a RTX 4060 and a 12th Gen i7 gaming at 1080p. What kind of jump in performance would I see going to a Desktop with a 7800X3D and 7900 GRE / 7900 XT?

I’m kind of curious to go AMD GPU this time as I’ve only had Nvidia since the 8800GT, think my last AMD GPU was the Radeon X1800. I have vague memories of the AMD drivers being rubbish!!! Hopefully this as changed
