Hi.

Been looking around to change my ISP but everywhere seems to have a minimum 12 month contract.

I'm currently paying £15 a month with Sky (due to go up to £17.50 as I have just cancelled my TV sub) and have already received my MAC code.

I'm using a BT line. 20-30 gb will be more than enough for me.

I used to be with Namesco who were really good, but their packages are on the expensive side.

Anyone else worth checking out?

Cheers.

Any LLU available in your area?

If not I'm using Xilo, who are great and have 1 month contract with a £40 setup fee. Not the cheapest, but considering the connection is actually usable during peak hours for gaming (unlike cheap ISP's) I think they are good value for the level of service provided.

Their 25GB peak / unlimited off peak package would probably do you, that's £20/month. I pay £28/month for their office pack with 40GB peak, double the normal upload and better contention within the BT side of the network.

ADSL24's 30GB (peak) a month is about £20

All of these were doing 1 month contracts when I was looking:
(rough cost and peak usage limit)
PlusNet (£18 - 60GB)
Vivaciti (£30 - 60GB)
UK FSN (£30 - 60GB)
Freeola (£28 - 48GB)
XILO (£25 - 50GB)
Newnet ISP (£20 - 20GB)
IDNet (£35 - 40GB/180GB)
AAISP (based on package)
Zen (£30 - 100GB always)
Aquiss (£33 - 60GB)

I'm waiting to move to Xilo, the Home 25GB pack.... @20 a month.

They have unmetered access from midnight to 8AM and all weekends with a max of 200GB.

Lets hope they are better than Zen,..... 4pm to midnight I found them a joke. really bad speeds, lucky to get .5mb-1mb on a 4mb line, on the BT ADSL up to 8mb/none LLU area

If it doesn't improve at all, try the Office 40 pack for a month, see if the increased priority makes any difference. Think it has more hours of unmetered too - 8pm to 8am rather than midnight to 8am. Weekends are off peak all day.
